Kickstart your day with this 3-minute, power-packed coconut yogurt.

Healthy, satisfying and versatile… this is one the kids will love making their own, adding different fruit and nut combos to keep the flavours fun.

This is a great hands-on recipe to help introduce kids to different foods, especially nuts, that are packed with vitamins and minerals and healthy filling fats.

Ingredients


SERVES: 2

TIME: 2 min hands-on / 1 min stack

AGE: 9-12 months upwards

STEP 1
200g
coconut yogurt
1/2
vanilla pod, scrape out the black seeds**
STEP 2
handful
chopped berries and cherries
2 tbsp
maple syrup
STEP 3
small handful
nuts (any kind) - roughly crumbled
sprinkle
cacao nibs
large pinch
cinnamon
NOTES
-
*You can replace coconut yogurt with any style of yogurt like greek, plain, soya.
-
**If you don’t have the time, use 1/4 tsp of vanilla essence or vanilla paste instead.

How to make it

VANILLA YOGURT

Cut the vanilla pod in half lengthways.
Scrape the black seeds with the back of a knife.
Mix the seeds and yoghurt together.

FILL THE BOWL

Fill the bottom of a small bowl with the berries.
Spoon the yoghurt mix over the berries.
Pour the maple syrup around the edge.

MAGIC SPRINKLE

Sprinkle on the crumbled nuts, cacao nibs and dust liberally with cinnamon.

Serve straight away, or keep in the fridge overnight.
